Plus, Jacob Martinez definitely looks the part! Martinez seems like a great fit for the role of Javi since we know the show was indeed on the hunt for a new one.

Recasts always bring an adjustment period on soaps, but it helps when the new portrayer resembles the former actor and has a similar vibe.
