Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals SHOCKING Career Consequence She Suffered Because Of Chris Martin Divorce!
Ugh! Chris Martin and careers evidently really don’t mix very well!
We’ve all been hung up on that Coldplay kiss cam incident and how it ruined the careers of the Astronomer CEO and his HR Chief, who were caught canoodling at his show. Sure, he didn’t actually do anything wrong, but he called them out on the affair and unknowingly helped the scandal spread all around the world. Yeesh! And it turns out this wasn’t the only time he had a hand in someone’s career setback — his ex-wife knows the feeling all too well!

On Tuesday’s episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler, the Glee alum recalled her split from the singer in 2014 and how it led to an unexpected setback. She dished:
“I was supposed to do a movie at one point… and it was right after the conscious uncoupling thing with Chris, and there was a lot of harsh stuff in the press, and I think the distributor was like, ‘This might be too hot to touch.’”
The actress teased:
“So that was great, cause I was getting a divorce and then I got fired. It was so awesome.”
That SUX!!!
As you’ll recall, Gwyn and Chris tied the knot in 2003 but broke up in 2014 after welcoming kids Apple, 21, and Moses, 19. At the time, they ditched the word “divorce” and said they were “consciously uncoupling” instead, a term the Parks and Recreation star loves today, Amy pointed out:
“Boy, were you ahead of your time. You really were.”
The Goop founder agreed, though said it’s “good and bad,” she reflected:
“I do understand why it was so personal for people cause it was. You only see that reaction when it’s personal.”
And yet, through all the drama, they’ve proven they did the right thing for themselves and their family by remaining such good friends and co-parenting successfully! That ain’t easy! Too bad the split cost her a job!
