“We Gotta Go Our Separate Ways”: Young Thug Shuts Down Reunion Rumors And Officially Breaks Ties With Gunna
Young Thug has been back in the mix for over a year now, but if you were holding out hope for new music, you can officially let that dream go.
Despite being home since late 2024 and witnessing the industry try to bridge the gap, Thugger is making it clear that some bridges are burned for good.
During a heavy hitting appearance on the It’s Up There podcast with Big Loon, the Atlanta legend addressed the elephant in the room.
The fallout stems from the massive YSL RICO case that saw Thug fighting for his life behind bars for over two years while Gunna took an Alford plea in late 2022.
While Gunna’s team has maintained he never “snitched,” the streets see things differently. Even with 21 Savage recently trying to play peacemaker by launching a “f*ck the streets” movement to get the two stars to squash their beef, Thug isn’t moved by the sentiment.
“I love you to death. I know you love me to death, we just gotta go our separate ways now. We can get a trillion dollars together, I’m still not gonna be able to look at you the same way before we went to jail together. It’s just the truth.”
21 Savage isn’t the only one who has tried to move the needle on this situation. Thug’s own father, Jeffery Williams Sr., has been spotted supporting Gunna at his shows, which led many to believe a reconciliation was on the horizon. However, Thug made it clear that family approval doesn’t change the reality of what went down during those two years in a cell.
Naturally, the internet had a field day with the heartbreaking update, and the trolls were out in full force.
Some fans decided to use Gunna’s own lyrics from his track “just say dat” to poke fun at the situation, “if you want a feature n*gga just say that.”
Young Thug tells big loon he has a message for Gunna:
