Kim Kardashian Shuts Down North West’s Social Media Account After Spotting ‘Worrying’ Content!

As fast as North West’s solo social media presence erupted onto the scene, it fizzled out into oblivion.

Less than three weeks after the 12-year-old launched her very own Instagram account with the permission of her parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, the account temporarily disappeared from the photo-sharing platform. And it’s apparently because Kimmy didn’t like what she was seeing!

On Tuesday, Rob Shuter reported on his Naughty But Nice Substack that Kim made the decision to take her pre-teen offline after spotting a few red flags. A source told Shuter:

“Kim didn’t like what she saw. Some of the content, comments and attention were worrying, and she felt it wasn’t safe for North yet.”

A second insider added:

“The account was fine at first, but Kim noticed posts and interactions that made her pause. She’s very hands-on and protective — this was her call, no question.”

It’s not clear exactly what “posts,” “interactions,” and “comments” specifically struck Kim negatively, but we’re glad to hear she’s so active and on top of her daughter’s growing internet presence!

It’s been long known that The Kardashians star and her ex-husband Kanye share differing views on social media, but a source told Shuter:

“Kim and Kanye have very different ideas about social media and privacy. Kim is all about safety and control; Kanye is more laid-back. It’s always been a balancing act.”

A family insider added:

“North’s age is a big factor. She’s only 12, and Kim didn’t want her exposed to the pressures and scrutiny of Instagram just yet.”

North is going to have the rest of her life to deal with internet trolls! If her momma wants to protect her from it for a bit longer, that’s her prerogative! However, as of the time of writing this post, North’s Instagram account is back online with five posts total. Her bio reads:

“account managed by parents”
